2008 German Open
The German Open 2008 will be held at the 23rd
and 24th August 2008 in
Korbach by the local draughts club, who already is very well known for the
organizing of 10*10 events like the following, where you can get an
impression of the town, the playing site and the youth hostel ;-) (there're
also good and cheap hotels available):

The event will be GAYP and we plan 9 rounds Swiss at 30 minutes per player.

The Korbach club has some quite competitive youngsters who are also chess
players and even prefer 8*8 checkers to 10*10 draughts, and the chairman Jan
Zioltkowski is also strong in Chess, Shashki, 10*10, and Brazilian Draughts
and is able to play Checkers very well
